THINGAMABOBBIN

Children are always inventing new ways to use the Thingamabobbin, from the youngest child who delights in moving the bobbins and dowels on and off and matching colors, to the advanced builders who construct things that move--cars, whirling windmills, and space rockets. The grooved bobbins, the firm base painted with four colored squares, the dowels, and the rubber bands encourage children to investigate cause and effect, to construct simple machines, and to design other imaginative structures.
